You may need to upgrade group policy.

me.
I've been using group policies with a startup
script to install the default printer on some lab machines (i use the
printui.dll). All worked fine with the Win2K client. As soon as we deployed
WinXP clients, the magic ceased!!!!?? I've tried just about everything to figure
this one out (dumbfounded some call it). GPUPDATE declares that the policy has
executed, but no printer appears. Any ideas on this one would be greatly
appreciated.
