[ActiveDir] Built-in Defragger and Clustering

It has been suggested to me that W2k’s built-in defragger should not be used to defrag a shared disk in a MSCS cluster. I am hesitant to believe this since the fact that the servers are clustered does not change how the data is written to the disk, correct?
