The latest version of dsacls which is available in the ADAM
SP1 and ADAM R2 distributions has a /takeOwnership switch you might find
useful.

suggestion, but I looked at dsacls originally. The WO permission allows
someone the ability take ownership, but doesn’t change the
owner. From:

On Behalf Of Coleman,
Hunter You can only take
ownership of an object, not push it onto another security principal. Look at
dsacls and the "wo" flag, running in the security context of the 3rd
party. From:

On Behalf Of Crawford,
Scott Is there anyway in script
(preferred) or through the GUI to change the owner of an object? I realize
I can seize ownership in ADUC, but I’d like to be able to assign ownership to a
3rd party. If need be, I can login as that 3rd party
to seize ownership, but I’d like to be able to do it on a whole tree of objects,
hence the desire to do it in script. Thanks Scotte |
