Chris, talk to me when you get home. I have a list of all the Event ID codes and what each means. I would pull them up now but it appears that the lovely cable company has dropped the internet connection again.

Hello,

here is a good start http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/windows2000serv/deploy/confeat/13w2kadc.mspx

Don not remember the eventid corresponding to file deletions, but after activated audit, try delete a file.directory and see in the security logs what eventid is generated for this event.

Sorry if this is a bit off topic, but I was wondering if there is a way to
track file deletions off of a Windows 2000 SP4 file server?
