You would want to use kerberos for this most likely. I
would look at the Centrify and Vintela offerings, I expect that one or other or
both will have something.
From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Rich Milburn Sent: Wednesday, March 15, 2006 5:38 PM To: ActiveDir@mail.activedir.org Subject: [ActiveDir] Access DB2 on AIX with AD credentials I just got a query from
my father-in-law: They have a DB2
database running on AIX. They want to have their users, who are logging
into AD, access the DB2 database using their AD credentials. Seems like a
fairly straightforward issue, but my limit of knowledge about AIX past how it’s
spelled is that it is a flavor of Unix. And I can spell DB2 as well.
So… they either want to know how one would set up such pass-through
authentication, or what 3rd party products would allow this. I
don’t think this is OT but if you want to email me offline feel
free. Thanks Rich -----------------------------------------------------------------------
