Hi Rob,
the best place to start is to enable DEBUG logging in the brokers
log4j.properties file - which can be found in the conf/ directory of
the download.
I'd recommend actually just adding the line
log4j.logger.org.apache.activemq.transport=DEBUG - so you don't get
too much information!
