Howto call Perl form VB?

We have an VB application that is extensible with scripts, using the
Microsoft ScriptControl 
This works perfectly with VBScript and Java scripts. The scripts have
one string parameter, 
and returns the result in a string.
 
Does anybody know how to call Perl scripts in the same manner?
