Deb- what was the previous server?
Windows nt 4.x IIS ....? Linux Apache....? BSD Tomcat....? it could have to do with the os, it could have to do with the server software version. there are a lot of variables left from your description it might be worth it for you to look at more aspects. remember there is a BIG difference between windows nt 4.5.1 and windows nt 5.0 (aka 2000) and 5.1 (xp) and 5.2 (2003) even bigger if you went from 95/98/me larger still from any posix (Solaris, HPUX, Red Hat, SUSE, FreeBSD, Open BSD, Darwin, IBM linux, VAX, IRIS and many others) even though things port VERY nicely between posix bases, the same connot be said about between windows bases or cross basing. there's also lots of differences between apache and tomcat and zeus and iis. heck even apache 1.x.y to 2.x.y had some very big differences in implementation of some things. -Josh _______________________________________________ ActivePerl mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe: http://listserv.ActiveState.com/mailman/mysubs
