Yup, that's what RTF is alright, i.e. text, so I suppose it is the same as creating a text file. CPAN is your friend: http://search.cpan.org/search?query=rtf&mode=all Followed by a quick check of your friendly ppm archive to see if the likely looking modules (e.g. RTF::Writer) from the above search are available.
