Perl 6 depends on Java??

What does it mean? Will Perl become a Java extension/module instead of 
continue to be an independent language/compiler/interpreter?? Please tell me

You can try out Perl6 right now with Fedora 8 or 9 -
don't remember which. What you will notice right away
is that perl depends on Java!

Its a free download and it should be immediately
usable.
