I didn't see mentioned there the main reason that Perl/Tk is no longer maintained, and that is due to the passing of its primary developer and maintainer in 2006. http://news.perlfoundation.org/2006/09/thanks_nick.html Personally, I am still writing Tk scripts, mainly as I haven't worked out how to use Tkx effectively yet.
