It is working for me. Which version of ActivePerl are you using? And did you
install MinGW/dmake yourself, or via `ppm install
MinGW`?

Subject: Installing Moose via cpan

Dear Listmembers,

I have recently installed AS Perl 5.10 on a new laptop.

On my previous computers Moose installed flawlessly through CPAN;

For some strange and to me unknown reason, when installing Moose 1.03, I get
the following error:

Set up gcc environment - 3.4.5 (mingw-vista special r3)

Checking if your kit is complete...

Looks good

Writing Makefile for Moose

dmake.exe: makefile: line 900: Error: -- An AUGMAKE meta target must not be
mixed with non AUGMAKE meta targets, offending target
[.manifest]

Checking the output of cpan, I see that a similar error happens when trying to
install the pre-requisite Class::MOP 1.01:

Set up gcc environment - 3.4.5 (mingw-vista special r3)

Checking if your kit is complete...

Looks good

Writing Makefile for Class::MOP

dmake.exe: makefile: line 544: Error: -- An AUGMAKE meta target must not be
mixed with non AUGMAKE meta targets, offending target
[.manifest]

  FLORA/Class-MOP-1.01.tar.gz

  C:\data\Perl\site\bin\dmake.exe -- NOT OK

Did anyone experience that kind of error? If so, did anyone find a solution for
it?

And yes, I know that I can install modules through ppm as well, but (1) Moose
1.03 is not yet in ppm and (2) when on the road and
without internet access I install modules from a local minicpan.

Thanks for looking into this!
