Still haven't had time to investigate this, but I've just seen the same issue with ASP (asp.dll), so I think it is unrelated to ActivePerl. Found this page, which doesn't list DCOM 10004 or W3SVC 36, so it didn't show up in my original search. PRB: Configured Identity Is Incorrect for IWAM Account http://support.microsoft.com/kb/297989/en >From a quick test, it appears that following the instructions given on the above Microsoft support page is the solution to this problem. Authorization info has to be kept in sync in three places.
