I can't seem to get the PIL distribution wholly running. Specifically, I'm having trouble with the JPEG portion (which relies on an external library). Obviously, jpeg is common and useful. Docs do link to www.ijg.org which doesn't actually house docs (bad link on uu.net). Sure, there are general FAQs on jpeg, but there isn't much about a library. I can get it running on their own distro http://www.pythonware.com/downloads.htm but not on ActivePython.
