What I meant by the Windows Installer was not the ActivePython Windows
Installer, but the latest Windows Installer from Microsoft (InstMSI.exe).
You can find it at the following link:

Subject: invalid command-line options?
Hi there,
I am trying to install ActivePython 2.0 on a Windows 98 box. To do this, I
needed to install the MSI package, which I downloaded from the ActiveState
web site. However, when I run this program, it tells me I'm using invalid
command-line parameters. Any idea what could be causing this?
Thanks in advance!
