ActiveState has developed Python.NET which is an implementation of most
of the Python language for the .NET runtime. This is open source
software available on our website (separate from ActivePython).
.NET and SOAP are two technologies that ActiveState considers important
and we definately want ActivePython to support them. Our work in that
regard is not yet ready to be announced although we did show a few ideas
off at the last conference.
By the way, we are looking for some people to help us with these efforts
so if any hotshot Python coders out there are interested in web services
or in developing ActivePython in general, please give me a shout. The
search for the right people with the right background is one of our most
severe bottlenecks.
