Title: RE: why are my postings a mess?

What I have found here at work, is that Exchange, for some strange reason, will convert your plain text email to be MIME/HTML (simple format), but it still shows up as multi-part MIME. I've done tests where I send a plain text email to a unix account I have outside our work, and look directly at the mail file, and it shows up as MIME with HTML and a TEXT portion... It's annoying!

I'd try asking IT about it, if you can.

Subject: why are my postings a mess?

I'm setting the format of my messages to PlainText, rather than RichText or HTML.
Yet whenever I post it looks like
- the (digest) mailing (a) includes both the PlainText and HTML versions (the joys of multipart-MIME), and (b) both versions have some nasty end-of-line character being inserted

- the web archive just shows the PlainText version, but still with the end-of-line problem
I'm using MsOutlook2K. Isn't anyone else? What can I do to clean up my postings, short of changing to a non-work account like Yahoo?
