Of course, if you want a more capable logging system right now, and
don't want to wait for it to be integrated into the standard library,
there are two separate ports of Log4j to the Python framework on
source-forge.

I don't know how good they are, not yet having had time to try them out
for myself, nor do I know if they contain rolling file appenders, but
I've liked the design of Log4j, which is much like what is described in
the PEP.

Of course, the fact I can get ports for every major language I use
doesn't hurt. :-)
