I'm quite new to python (though, horrors, a devout perl groupie) but I've seen 2 or 3 of these sorts of 'catches' on this list - does python have a way to alert you to misspelling like that? In perl, for example, using -w/warnings will tell you that '_reg_progid' is unused etc. a Andy Bach, Sys.
