I'd like to bring the PyCon conference to the attention of ActivePython and
Komodo users (well, at least the Python-speaking Komodo users =).
PyCon is a community-oriented conference targeting developers (both those
using Python and those working on the Python project). It gives you
opportunities to learn about significant advances in the Python development
community, to participate in a programming sprint with some of the leading
minds in the Open Source community, and to meet fellow developers from around
the world.
The first PyCon will be held 26-28 March, 2003, at George Washington
University's Cafritz Conference Center in Washington DC. There will be a
development sprint Mon/Tues before the conference.
Early-bird registration for the conference (until February 28, 2003) has been
set at $150. Later pre-conference registration will cost $200, and the fee to
register at the conference itself will be $250 (all costs in US dollars). More
information is on the registration page (http://www.python.org/pycon/reg.html).
Sign up now to get the cheap rate.
I've helped review the paper submissions, and can safely say that the papers
will be quite exciting and interesting. I hope to see many of you there.
More information about PyCon can be found at http://www.python.org/pycon/.
