The win32all on Mark Hammond's page, are indeed newer than ActiveState's. There is no problem installing them, over ActivePython's. You may run into a problem, if you are using Komodo, though I think that has now been corrected.

Hi,
I'm a little confused about the win32 extensions, and what is and isn't available.
I'm currently running a debug build of ActiveState PythonWin 2.2.1 Build 222.
I want access to the api function "WaitForInputIdle()".
This is available from Mark Hammond's win32 downloads, but they are aimed solely at Python Labs versions of python. Are they incompatible with the ActiveState version ? Am I correct in thinking they're further ahead, or is the function I need buried in the ActiveState libraries somewhere ?
I'm thinking about writing my first python win32 extension (and I feel "the fear") - any advice on how best to wrap this api function would be gratefully received. I've got about 6 months python experience, but the only extension work I've done so far is to generate\build a sample.
Thanks, Mark
