Using a compiled .dll

Forgive the stupid question, but is there any way one can message methods in a compiled Windows .dll file? I have the documentation for all the methods, but no source code. Possible? I realize there are probably symbol table entry point problems, but I thought I would ask anyway. Thanks.   Brian
