[Bob Kline wrote] > Why is ssl() missing from the socket module in ActivePython 2.3.2 (build > 232)?
Because export restrictions do not let us distribute a product with crypto capabilities without a number of painful administrative procedures, some of which must be done _per user/customer_. We are looking at things we can do so that ActivePython can be distributed by default with SSL support built in. Admittedly though, that won't be a quick process so it might be a while before we can do that.
Cheers, Trent
