Hello Magnum,

I have the same problem and my solution was replace the column on the relation with virtual columns mainly in the config.list property, you can put to_label of the model relation,

Benjamín

circa...
it seems that even on the simple list (index action) even if i list
only 20/40 units per page acivescaffold tries to load or calculate all
the related features entities of all the 70000 units, even if not
displayed; it remembers the behaviour of a virtual column with some
calculations...
please someone can help me with this problem ?

Check the query being used.  Probably for some reason it's dragging back
far more data than it needs.  Consider limiting the columns and
relationships referenced so that AS doesn't try and bring back too much data
