I completed BE ELEET's instructions and I am no longer getting the error. I haven't used Active_scaffold in a page yet, but plan to in the next couple of days, so can report whether it works.
andalucien - did you try to delete the active_scaffold plugin folder then perform BE ELEET's steps? One small change to them.
