It looks like the jruby install script may not support git revisions. It seems (I may be wrong) that you're still running master (which only works with edge/2.3 at the moment).
Try this: cd vendor/plugins rm -rf active_scaffold git clone git://github.com/activescaffold/active_scaffold.git cd active_scaffold git checkout rails-2.2 This should have you with AS 2.2. Let me know how it works.
