I have renamed templates in master branch to use current extensions
because they are deprecated. rhtml and rjs will continue working, but
with some problems.
You can put a update.rhtml template in your controller views
directory, and render a partial from ActiveScaffold, for example:
# app/view/users/update.rhtml
<div class="my_override_scaffold">
  <%= render :partial => 'update_form' %>
</div>

But you can't use render :super in a rhtml or rjs template, it doesn't
work:
# app/view/users/update.rhtml
This is my overriden template, but it doesn't work
<%= render :super %>

I don't know, but haml templates may work now. I think the first
example should work with a html.haml template, I'm not sure about
second example, but I haven't HAML I don't know it to try it.
