I have a table called Containers and I have a table called Locations. In the locations table i have the location_id and the location_description columns
In the Containers table i have a column location_id which is a reference to the location in the Locations table. Whe i list my containers in the index page i want to see the location description instead of the location_id. However, what i see on the screen is Container number which is displayed correctly Container type which is displayed correctly Container Size which is displayed correctly Location should show the referenced location description but shows #<Location:0x7f68183d8100> I can't seem to get it to display correctly. If i remove the activescaffold plugin and just use ruby on rails i see the location correctly. I addition, when i edit the container or create a new container i should be able to select the location from a drop down list which i can but all the location descriptions are show as #<Location: 0x9999999999> (or some hex number). I can select from the drop down and it gets saved properly but it still doesn't show me the location description. Thanks to anyone who can help.
