Instead of overriding the destroy action do this def do_destroy author = Author.find(params[:id]) self.successful = author.update_attributes(:deleted => true_ end Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

Incidentally, when I put my code in my controller, execute it (by deleting a row in a list view), the -1 gets written to the row in the db in the deleted column, but, the list view doesn't show the list without the deleted record (you have to refresh the browser to get it to come up in list view without that now-'deleted' row). Of course, this defeats the AJAXian model -- I am scouring the docs but don't see how to force a "re-list?" --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "ActiveScaffold : Ruby on Rails plugin" group.
