Additionally, you can probably use the adsutil.vbs utility to get the
keys/values for that service. That might help in debugging (maybe the
article has the key name incorrect or something)

: Um, the page says to do:
:
: smtpmd set smtpsvc/1/DisablePickupDotStuff <1>
:
: (with angled brackets). Your snipped below didn't have them. Might that be
a
: cause? It also says you need Win2k SP3 - you have that installed?

:
: Hi all,
:
: I have a server with the symptoms described in KB Article Q286358. Url:
:
:
: When I run the command-line described in the "More Information" part of
: the article I get this:
:
: D:\Setup\SMTPmd>smtpmd set smtpsvc/1/DisablePickupDotStuff 1
: Error: SetValueByDataType failed - HRES(0x80070057)
: ERROR_INVALID_PARAMETER
:
: So far, google/MSDN has been able to guide me to this point, but I can't
: find anything useful on this. Has anyone else here had the same
: problem? Does anyone have any idea on how to fix this?
:
: Paul.
