there is no such thing as security The thing is, when people see .mdb files some of them tend to open it, and when they see it is password protect, there are a few(!) which are dumb enough to think that it can be deleted. I have seen several network administrators that just deleted files that they didn't know where it came from. But when it are .Dat files it can be used for anything, so they won't delete it as easy as they do with .mdb files.
