University Policy Management * Manage the development, review, approval, communication and maintenance of University policies in accordance with University Policy 1001: Development, Approval and Maintenance of University Policy * Provide assistance to the University community on the process and forms to use in proposing and drafting new and editing current policies. * Oversee the flow of policy impact statements and draft policies among the policy's responsible officer, responsible oversight executive, Policy Review Committee, Vice Presidents, University Counsel, and President. * Manage the 30-day (new) and 15-day (revised) open comments period for the University community by posting policies to the policy website and communicating the review periods to the University community via email, collecting comments from the University community, and distributing them to the Responsible Officer and the editing subcommittee of the Policy Review Committee. * Facilitate the pre- and post-review editing process using web-based document collaboration tools. * Chair the monthly meetings of the Policy Review Committee, scheduling policies for review and ensuring timely distribution to committee members. * Meet regularly with the President, Vice Presidents and University Counsel for final review and approval of policies endorsed by the Policy Review Committee. * Obtain required signatures on approved policies, post new and revised policies to the University policy website, and communicate their approval to the University community. * Maintain the University Policies website, policy library and archives.
