Hi Heather,

I have been at institutions that have done it a variety of ways, one had them
combined, one had two separate: discrimination and harassment, and one had two
separate: sexual harassment and discrimination, and all other harassment and
discrimination. I think the key is to make sure you have your bases covered
with relation to what works for your institution. I've seen some schools which
concentrate so heavily on the sexual harassment area they forget to address the
others, which can be more prevalent. I've also seen where the faculty side of
the house is totally different than the administrative side, and has caused
some real issues.

Enjoy your long weekends everyone.

Doug

Subject: [acupa-l] Discrimination and Sexual Harassment - combined or separate?

Hello,

UTSA currently addresses both discrimination & sexual harassment in the same
policy. There is some interest in separating the two. If you don't mind sharing
I'd love to know what others are doing. Are we behind the times by not already
having two?

Thanks,
Heather
