Hi All Just making a late respones to Maree's post. Thanks Maree - the Ada board have written the aim into our trust document to facilitate dialogue through the list across a wide range of groups in Aotearoa, and if Maori interests in particular can be promoted through this forum, of course we will endeavour to help in any way ...
Some Ada'ers might be interested in this different kind of forum: ( an Auckland urbane one albeit...) <ARTIST'S FORUM Infiltrating City Spaces: Art Outside Institutional Boundaries 2-5pm Saturday 14 April at The Wine Loft Are you interested in working beyond the institution; in the community, on streets and squares, and in alleyways and the city's forgotten corners? Would you like to infiltrate other spaces? Shift boundaries? Revitalize and redefine the city and contemporary art practice? There are enormous opportunities for collective and individual creative enterprise in this area in our city. We invite you to suggest and consider possibilities and discuss ideas over a glass of wine with other artists. Come to hear. Come to join in. The discussion will be visionary, imaginative and inspiring; and involve thinking about extending art practices and art ideas in Auckland outside the institutional walls/frameworks.... Let's talk about what things could be like. The field is open.. Where? The Wine Loft, 69 Shortland St, Auckland CBD When? Saturday, 14 April What time? 2-5pm and. 1 FREE drink on entry!!
