Call for Submissions

FIGURING LANDSCAPES

UK and Australian artists are invited to submit short, single screen works (up to 10 min) for a major touring exhibition of moving image on themes arising from the landscapes of Australia and the UK. The emphasis is on the rural environment ranging from the English countryside with its history of human intervention to its imaginary antithesis in the Australian Outback, itself the product of both Aboriginal and colonial land use. Venues in the UK include Tate Modern, London (with symposium); ArtSway, New Forest (with workshops); Dundee Contemporary Arts; Chapter, Cardiff and Australian venues.

Emerging artists in particular are encouraged to submit, but students are not eligible.

Preview formats: VHS, DVD, miniDV, DVCAM or web-based. Stamped addressed envelope for return of work and a CV & contact details. Deadline 15th December 2007.
