Interesting read. Here in Japan since November it has been mandatory for foreign nationals to be fingerprinted and photographed each time they enter the country, regardless of visa status. This makes it the 2nd country, after the US, to implement such a scheme - supposedly it is a 'counter-terrorism' measure, despite there never having been any recorded terrorist event committed by foreign nationals in Japan. _______________________________________________ Ada_list mailing list [email protected] http://aotearoadigitalarts.org.nz/
