A forward from Antoanetta Ivanova (Melbourne)
Dear colleagues,
[apologies for any cross-postings]
IMPACT: is a Danish-Australian initiative that brings together art,
technology, science, politics and climate, with provocative and
insightful perspectives from the far North and South regions of our
planet.
In December 2009, the world’s nations will join forces at the UN Climate
Change Convention in Copenhagen, Denmark to define a new global climate
treaty. But climate change, the organisers say, is something that
affects us all and thus it demands each and every one of us to
contribute to its solutions. In the lead up to the UN convention,
IMPACT'09 will be launching a series of programs starting with
web-debates on this site <www.impact09.com>, and culminating with a
major international exhibition as part of the UN cultural program.
Curator: Antoanetta Ivanova (Australia) & Producer: Anne Sophie Witzke
(Denmark)
IMPACT: living in the age of climate change is the Nordic Exhibition of
the Year 2008-2010, produced with major funding from the Nordic Culture
Fund.
Please visit the website in the coming months and join the discussion.
