S JOB ADVERTISEMENT Lecturer /Senior Lecturer COLLEGE OF FINE ARTS SCHOOL OF MEDIA ARTS REF. 6178 The College of Fine Arts (COFA) provides Art, Design, Media, Art History and Art Education programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It also undertakes extensive studio, theoretical and historical research into each of these fields. COFA seeks to appoint a media artist/researcher into the area of Interactive Media. Interactive Media typically includes work in the following areas: web development, interactive systems, physical computing, audio, games, mobile applications, and interactive installation practice (including, but not limited to, sensor-driven design, cross-signal processing, wearables, responsive environments etc). Specialisation in one or more of these areas is essential. The candidate must hold a higher degree and have a strong practice in digital interactive media, as well as the ability to engage in interactive media practice in a critical and scholarly fashion; evidence of exhibition and/or high-level media projects. The successful candidate will be expected to possess a strong interest and willingness to teach and develop interactive courses both at the introductory and specialist levels for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The appointee will also take a lead role in the Faculty¹s postgraduate and research programs, as well as oversee the multimedia courses at undergraduate level and supervise postgraduate students and help to build upon inter-school and cross-faculty projects. This is a full time continuing position. The salary range for Lecturer is A$73,573 - A$86,734 per year and the salary range for Senior Lecturer is A$89,362 - A$102,523 per year (plus 17% employer superannuation contributions and leave loading), depending on qualifications and experience.
