Beyond the specifics of the Kahn tour, this has raised some a interesting issue. Certainly, here at ANAT we'd be more than happy to liaise with potential hosts in NZ for any international guests we might approach to visit Australia in future. One thing that could help would be to have a single contact on the ground in NZ who could direct us to the appropriate organisation/network/academic body, etc for any given tour. As Zina notes, there would need to be a contribution from the NZ partner (at least to cover the fares/accom across the ditch), so perhaps having someone from CNZ being the initial contact person would give them enough ownership of the process to want to invest in it as part of a broader industry development strategy?
