Hope you've all had or are still having lovely holidays.
As a new year's present to us all CNZ have released their response to
submissions to the strategic plan here:

The detail is in the linked Word doc, but the part most obviously
responding to our submission is this:
Digital arts practice
Several submissions stated that Creative New Zealand did not have
clear or relevant funding and strategy related to digital arts
practice.
Creative New Zealand response
Creative New Zealand acknowledges that a clear and effective digital
arts strategy is required. Along with policy work on young emerging
artists and diversity the development of a digital arts strategy
will be priority over 2010-2013.
This will build on the Digital Arts Position Paper completed as part
of the Distribution Strategy developed in 2009.
I imagine (assume? hope?) that we will hear more about this as it
goes, and hopefully that's something we can all contribute to as a
network.
