Hi,
This subject on an intellectual basis is somewhat negatively viewed. It is apparent that the technological advances that are available can pry into every aspect of our lives not just data transfer. The way in which we view this and the way in which it is utilized is the issue, not whether it should or should not occur. Nothing is sacred and nothing is hidden within a technologically advanced system. Those that react with fear to this usually have something to hide or have first hand experience of the system being used negatively against them. Would we prefer not to be so technologically advanced? I thought becoming technologically advanced is what we have all been working towards. The implementation of such technologies within our daily lives can be of huge assistance to humanity if used properly. In terms of the technology being used to disadvantage and control upright citizens, then one must voice opposition. The system was not designed to control; it is impartial. The way in which the system is utilized by humanity is the defining factor. Some aspects of society require the implementation of control within the technology. Some regimes utilizing the same technology will use it to disadvantage. This is a double-edged sword if you like and both sides are sharp.
