Dear friends You are invited to MARTIAN CHANNEL CHROMA, an installation by Mike Heynes, opening at 5.30pm on Wednesday 7 April at the Film Archive mediagallery.
Mike Heynes is a Wellington-based animator. Using children’s toys he has created MARTIAN CHANNEL CHROMA, a stop-motion video installation ridiculing the popular concept of the future as an age of enlightenment and progress. He asks, would aliens really be any more advanced than humanity? Would they have the same problems of greed and waste? Would they have a thousand TV channels with nothing worth watching?
