I remember a discussion on this list a while back about /creative/hacker/makerspaces so I thought you'd be interested in this. Tangleball is a new space that has opened up in Newton Auckland. We're having an opening BBQ on sunday 5 (with the space open from 10am that day). You can see/hear examples of screen printing, bronze casting, circuit bent music, video games, robots, a bicycle-powered smoothie machine and more.
