Hi Creative Commoners

I'm both excited and sad to say that as of May 2012, I will be spending some months with DigitalNZ - a great CC friendly initiative. This means I will no longer be working for Creative Commons Aotearoa in an official capacity, although you will probably still find me around.

I cannot describe how astounding it has been to have the opportunity to promote 'free culture', 'open government', 'open data', 'open education' and 'open science' with you. - A real and inspiring privilege. There are so many people on this list who have been instrumental in making Creative Commons work in NZ, and long may the collaboration last!

On that note, we have an exciting opening for a new Public Lead to take over the official activities within the Royal Society of New Zealand for twelve months. The details for this job opportunity can be found at http://www.royalsociety.org.nz/organisation/about/vacancies/public-lead-creative-commons-aotearoa-new-zealand/ Please circulate the position opening to your networks now, as we will need to find a suitable candidate smartly.

For a reminder of CCANZ's current goals and movements in the months ahead see http://wiki.creativecommons.org/New_Zealand

Hei Kona :)

Jane
