Greetings all,
BIOS <https://awhiworld.com/portfolio/bios-creative-innovation-lab/> opens tomorrow at Whangārei Art Museum. It’s a creative innovation lab, multi-zoned installation, gallery occupation and exhibition of research in progress. BIOS celebrates cross disciplinary practice, DIY, parallel realities and portals and is open from 10 to 4pm each day from the 27th May to the 18th June. It is one of two labs that are happening as part of the Awhi Incubator project <https://awhiworld.com/awhi-incubator-northland/> and is primarily designed as a teaching zone for creatives to learn e-textiles, Arduino, projection mapping and other enabling tools. An interactive test zone allows people to try out work at scale in a gallery setting, seminars and events complement the infrastructure in the space itself. We also have interational as well as community artists involved.
