This is where I feel a Linux/Open Source professional SIG would fit
nicely. It will help both companies and those looking for Linux jobs. It
will help define levels of ability and competence. This would not take
away from certifications but combine training with experience together.

It also addresses the issue of ethics. We can hold SIG members to levels
of ethical practice.

And just so everyone gets this straight and we don't rehash the same
misunderstanding from the first week. I am not suggesting that CLUE as a
whole become a professional organization just starting a Special
Interest Group to do this. I have no desire to limit CLUE to only
professional linux people. The plain vanilla user is just as much a part
of CLUE as the system administrator or kernel hacker.
