Jean, I added the softness to the max (128). It gievs very nice soft edge in the transition.
You can use any image for the gradient wipe. Like I said, I used to have DV500 with a bundled software called alpha magic. It gives many PNG file created for this purpose. so i used them. You can also create any image in phhotoshop with only gradient.. that will be the flow of your transition. The transition I have is also combined with a motion filter to zoom in to the corner.
