Better to put a insert-plug-in in your mixer. The limiter / Compressor plug-in
does the job you want ( dynamically ). But I suggest that you first do some research in how compressors and limiters work. My explanation; Compressors compress the sound to a given parameter. So it is possible to Keep the sound around -10 DB dynamically (mostly the gain parameter), use the The limiter to set the maximum DB level. So if setup right the compressor will Blow the weak signals and the limiter will limit the strong signals keeping a so called Controlled sound volume. I believe it is called Smart Gain. -----Original Message----- From: georgeformbyjnrfan [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, January 18, 2005 2:30 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [AP] Audio Problems Hi, I have just been listening to the 25 minutes of footage I have so far edited of a holiday from several years ago. The trouble is, the audio levels go up and down throughout it, due to things like my narration recorded at the time, vehicles passing by and other things here and there. I would like the sound levels to be constant throughout the entire footage. Is it possible to do this please? Regards, Peter _____ Yahoo!
