Subject: [AP] extracting short clips from DVD

<<Hi. I have a project with my company to make a compilation/trailer
for our current library of films. I am looking for a program (a
free one, if such a beast exists) to take the source DVD, and
extract the clips that I plan to use. There are a lot of films, but
I only require a few mins of each film. I don't really want to go
back to any other source material if I can avoid it. Anyone have
any good advice?>>

----Based on the fact that it is entirely possible to extract .VOB files and
rename them to .mpg, I wholeheartedly recommend Womble MPEG Video Wizard,
which is a full service MPEG video editor that wont do any recompression on
your MPEG files unless you apply an effect which requires it.
It's yours free to use for thirty days, after which it will set you back a
modest 120 dollars. For what it does I cannot say enough good things about
it.
It's worth every penny.
