We have been using the Canon Pixma 3000, we now have three of them and have
found them to be great no wear and tear problems and cheap for the ink
refills.

Someone posted here that they have disabled the print to CD/ DVD in USA
with these printers. But cant remember the exact info on that. ( I am in
Australia )

We have printed 1000's of DVD'S with these so far and been very impressed.

For labels, I have been using the Epson 200. I have three of them.
Unfortunately, the DVD labeling system hasn't worked beyond 200 printings on

any of them so far. I haven't been able to figure out what the "bug" in the

mechanism is. But, as pointed out, a full set of ink cartridges is about
$80, with a new printer and cartridges at a street price of $100. On sale
for $80.

Use the DVD printing part until the mechanism wears out, and then just use
the printer as an ordinary inkjet printer.

I like these printers especially becuase the inks do not run when water gets

on them. And they come with the Epson DVD printing program that makes
designing the labels very easy and straight forward.
